A consortium of employers and higher education institutions could jointly fund a state-wide billboard advertising campaign that would promote IT careers to young people, with a easy-to-remember URL. Employers could offer internships/externships to HS & College instructors. The Center, working with college deans and alumni directors could create an IT alumni association open to IT alumni from all MnSCU institutions (or other colleges & universities as well). As these alumni would represent both employers and employees, the group could serve as mentors, be a vibrant IT network, and be IT trend & research resources.
